Many rightfully consider the filet mignon to be the king of steaks. After all, tenderloin is an expensive and valuable cut from a unique muscle that is almost never involved in motor activity. Therefore, filet mignon or tenderloin steak is a very tender meat. Tenderloin is famous for its refined flavor with a less pronounced beefy component than other steaks. If "Ribeye" and "Striploin" are good for a hearty men's meal, and "T-bone" is good for a country barbecue, then filet mignon is perfect for treating guests or having a dinner for two with a bottle of good wine. When sliced, the dish looks like a small 4-6 cm thick cylinder. The average weight of such a steak is 150-250 g.
