This whiskey is rightfully considered the smoothest in the world. To achieve such smoothness, the company took a path that is quite unusual for Irish whiskey producers. In production, they use not only barley but also corn, especially since each of the grains undergoes fermentation and triple distillation separately, resulting in spirits with strengths of 80-85.5% and 94.4%, respectively. Corn, in particular, imparts both richness of flavor and sophistication of aroma at the same time. After distillation, master blenders combine these different spirits, lowering the proof to 60-70% with the help of crystal-clear water, and then send them for aging. The whiskey is aged in three different casks, previously used for sherry, bourbon, and port wine, which adds even more uniqueness and complexity to the flavor.
