The blend consists of malts exclusively crafted from the malting of Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie distilleries. It is worth noting that the components of this beverage belong exclusively to one region — Speyside. The whisky is released in a limited batch of 27 barrels previously used for American bourbon. The blend is named in honor of the workers at the William Grant distillery who turned the malt with heavy wooden shovels, resulting in a shoulder joint injury colloquially known as “monkey shoulder.”
