Peloton de la Muerte

An elegant mezcal, the production of which uses wild agave that grows in Mexico. After baking, the pulp of the pine cones is crushed and fermented in the open air for 4 days. Double distillation takes place in copper stills, after which the mezcal is diluted with water to a strength of 41%. The mezcal's label features the Doliente Hidalgo flag, which represents a rebel army called the Death Squad. This army sought revenge for the murder of the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the leader of the revolutionary uprising. The red color on the flag symbolizes the blood of the leader, and the black cross symbolizes the priest's mourning.
