A high-quality, bitter, robust liqueur crafted according to a Venetian recipe using grapes and an alcohol infusion of 16 different aromatic herbs and spices. In 1885, GioBatto Poli established the tavern "Al Cappello" near the Schiavon railway station. Travelers waiting for the "Vaca Mora" train (Italian for "black cow") enjoyed herbal liqueurs at the tavern. It is rumored that even the train conductor would occasionally join. A few years later, in 1898, the tavern was transformed into a distillery. Reviving the production of bitter liqueur, GioBatto Poli's descendants named it in honor of this historical event.
