Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G.
Grape variety: Glera. According to local legend, grapes growing on the hill were traditionally harvested last because the vines are located on steep slopes, making it challenging to reach them. Later, it was discovered that a longer stay of the fruit on the vine and the ripening period improve the taste of the grapes. Local wine is almost always dry, featuring exceptional effervescence (spumante) and a juicy yellow color. The flavor carries hints of apple and pear. The aroma is reminiscent of white citrus. The alcohol content is approximately 11%. The wine is produced using the tank method (Charmat method) — in large airtight containers under pressure.
