The whiskey boasts a smooth, rounded flavor with fruity and spicy undertones. The aroma is filled with fruity notes complemented by hints of dried fruits, spices, and oak. The beverage is aged for 4 years in new charred barrels made from American oak. Legend has it that following the prohibition of alcohol production and sales in 1920, residents of a small town in Iowa chose to craft premium whiskey, which rapidly gained popularity and became the globally renowned “Templeton Rye.” In 2009, the whiskey received a gold medal and the title of “Best Rye Whiskey of the Year” at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.
